R225 keypad won't unlock

Pulled my ATT R225 out of my pocket at the end of the day to turn it off, but the keypad won't unlock with the normal left soft key/*key combo. It simply won't respond. Is there anyway to fix this or overide the keypad lock to get it functioning normally again?

I am not specifically familiar with that phone so this suggestion may not be possible.....Try pulling the battery?

Thanks for responding. Taking the battery out was my first thought, but on page 2 of the manual, is the caution for battery removal: "Make sure that your mobile phone is off" (before battery removal). Not sure what else I can do though, or what I may lose if I remove the battery.

Removed and reinstalled the battery, the phone appears to be working normally again with no obvious problems.
