Problems setting up corporate e-mail with my blackberry pearl

I have had no problems with my yahoo account but I can't set up my corporate account.  My work uses Microsoft Outlook but we can't access our e-mail via the internet and I can't get my phone to receive work e-mails when typing in the user name and passwork for my e-mail account. Our IT department said that they don't know anything about it, that we don't have an enterprise server and they are not willing to help (worthless, I know).  Any suggestions???

If you have no external access to your mailbox, about the only option you have would be to set up a forward in Outlook to forward all your mail to another address.

Do you have OWA at work?  You can try adding your work account to BIS using the OWA option.  It might or might not work.  Failing that, they'd have to grant you POP or IMAP access (unlikely) or you'd have to forward your mail to your att.blackberry.net address.
