This simple fix will solve the problem of not being able to send or receive texts, (which sometimes happens with only certain contacts, or sometimes all of them).
>enter password (default is 1234)
>select option 1- Master Reset
>when the question box pops up asking "Reset all settings to factory defaults (No user data will be lost)?
>select Yes at the left of the screen
The phone os will reset everything to default, you will lose no personal data i.e.- contacts, photos, etc., and the text messaging problem will be resolved.
