Is this phone compatible with AT&T 3G? (unlocked HTC One V)

Will a phone with these specs work on the AT&T 3G network? I know AT&T uses HSDPA 850/1900 frequencies, so will this phone still work if it has the 850 but not the 1900? And will I be able to use the 2100mhz?

I don't fully understand how all these frequency channels work and whether or not a phone needs to support all of the frequencies a carrier uses or just one of them. Just need some clarification! Thanks!

I'm specifically cross-referencing the HTC One V's specs (http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_v-4575.php) with the AT&T wireless wiki page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/At%26t_wireless#Radio_Frequency_Summary)

It will work and revert to the 2G network when you are in a 1900MHZ area.  However consider the future that ATT is starting to retire some of their 2G segments to build compacity to support more 3G and 4G bands.

I will primarily be in the Houston, TX area. Do you know what mhz AT&T uses there?

Not off the top of my head but you can try fcc.gov licensing database: http://www.fcc.gov/data/search-gallery using your GPS position.

Try the site/frequency search: http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/General_Menu_Reports/engineering_search.cfm?accessible=NO

Forget my post. Those sites are hard to use. Better yet, mods please delete the previous post.

Hmm. . . For Houston I read 850, 1900, 1700, 2100, and 700. Interesting.
