I just bought an HTC Inspire for my prepaid account because I was told by ATT reps that it would work perfectly
After they set it up it worked perfectly in the store. but then when I left it wouldn`t connect to the internet. of course, at the store it was working with the wifi and I didn`t notice.
The phone has a message "connection failed due to incorrect apn setting"
I went back to the store and stayed more than one hour, but the att "tech support" could not solve the problem. Afterwards the attendant offered to return the phone and give the money back.
very frustrating and decieving. let alone the fact that att puts phone in the market without being sure they will work under certain contractual conditions
It is sold as a post paid device, yet your expectation is that it will work with a pre-paid account.
How is that AT&T's problem?
This phone requires a data plan for internet use.
I would have thought you should still be able to connect to a wireless network.
(Settings, wireless connections, wireless setup to set it up)
