I have lost my wireless nokia gophone and need to have the phone shut off. Every number I have tried for customer service directs me to use only the gophone customer service automated voice system, from there I am unable to accomplish this task. As I have no phone, I am unable to dial 611 either.
I have also tried using the link in the support forum for suspend/reactivate account and that link takes you to your account, where there is no option for deactivating account.
This has been extremely frustrating, if I could just talk to a real person and have the phone shut off I would be satisfied. Any help is appreciated.
Try calling AT&T's customer service at 1-800-331-0500 and ask if it is an option to terminate or suspend your service on your lost phone. Depending on your account expiration date, the phone will eventually deactivate itself.
