How do I get the rest of my emails yo show up?
When I go into my email accounts and scroll to the bottom of the page, none of my past emails fill in. How do I set it up so I can see past emails, beyond the first page?

Thanks in advance.

I actually tried that, but they still debt load. You know how when you scroll to the bottom of your list of emails, and there's a message in blue at the bottom, "load more messages"? I'm not getting that. Just shows the last email and nothing else loads. I have more than 10,000 emails. This only happens with Gmail. All other accounts spool up emails when I get to the bottom of the page.

Turn the account off the. Back on? It may reset something. You may need to delete the account then set it back up?

Ok. I tried that and didn't get anywhere, but I just realized something: this Gmail account is configured through Exchange on the iPhone. Should that make a difference? When i tried setting it up as regular Gmail there was no problem. But in Exchange I'm having this issue still.

Thanks.

Ok, if that's the way it's set up (to only display one page of emails, and there's no provision to call up older ones), then I guess I'm just stuck with it. Maybe I'll just set up the regular Google client too, for those times when I need to find older emails.

You can always set up exchange for your google calendar and contacts, then IMAP for the email account.

Works perfectly fine that way, the only thing you lose is push notification of new emails, which never worked correctly for me.

Use Google Mobile app with notifications for email. At least you can get some instant notification visually. You can also set the iMAP account to Fetch for new messages every 5 to 15 minutes to reduce the lag?

I use MobileME because of this limitation. I also do not like how Google Sync archives messages vs deletes them. When I am done with a message, I am done and do not need it in history. If I need a message saved, I save it. I also needed google to "send as" a different account. This was not something google sync could do until the last few months.

Thanks for the tips guys, but they sure sound confusing. Do you think there would be an issue with having both Gmail and Gmail through Exchange on the phone? That would work for me.

When you go to show all mailboxes, you will see each message twice.  Depending upon which mailbox a message is in, will determine what happens when you delete a message vs moving it from your inbox to All Mail.  You can set your mail to sync back one month?  After that, you can go online via the mobile gmail interace in safari which is actually pretty good.

Ok, I got it. I've set up Exchange for contacts and calendars, and Gmail for emails.

I don't know why I thought it was so convoluted. This will work best for what I need. Thanks again for all the suggestions!
