How Bad is the 'Apple Death Grip' on the Iphone 4

It appears there is a problem. Apple quasi-acknowleges, consumer reports confirms. Users on these forums speak about it. So can we get a factual thread about what the actual problem is. Apple seems to be living in the cupertino vaccum while the users seek help.  Lets help apple by defining the problem for them. Answer any or any number or all of the questions below

1. How many bars did you have with your old phone at your home

2. How many bars do you have with your Ihpone 4 at the same location

3. Does your iphone 4 have less reception than your old phone.

4. Can you duplicate the 'Apple Death Grip'

5. If you are able to duplicate the 'Apple Death Grip' how many bars do you have when it occurs.

do we need YET ANOTHER thread? Isn't the current deathgrip thread sufficent?

1) N/A was sprint

2) 5 to 2, depending on the day. Yeah, GSM is funny that way

3) no, its better by far then the cdma sprint phone

4) yes, but it hurts to swallow the phone, so I don't

5) 3, drops to 1-0, just like the extensive documentation everyone else has done says.

Awating the results of this highly scientific test/poll.

I have no problem and I agree that we don't need another thread. The search function works fine. Or, just read a few threads back

Some of the people don't mind this problem. Their iPhones work just fine or they've always had this problem since 3G and shrug it.

The rest: They went to Discussions.Apple.Com and repeated the 'Death Grip', 'Hardware Flaw', 'Consumer Reports', and 'Recall' topics 40 times on the i4 and got their posts deleted.
