Help with Option GT Max 3.6 freezing my computer!
Can ANYONE possibly give me any tips as to whats going on? The card is installed and everything i've had it online once. Everytime I put the card into my computer it freezes up instantly. If windows is already loaded when it freezes and you pull the card out it will stay frozen. When you shut the computer off and turn it back on when windows xp starts to load that bar that goes back and forth it will freeze untill you remove the card. Once its removed windows continues to load. I'm totally stumped. I've tried everything that I know about computers. I have tried reinstalling communication manager and the card several times. I've uninstalled my PCMCIA drivers and reinstalled them. I'm confused. Is there ANYONE out there that could tell me what is possibly going on? Thanks!

I'm a Systems Support Specialist and I just had one of my users have the same problem.  The only thing I've been able to figure out so far is that if we disable the internal wireless card it doesn't freeze.  So for now, she is just going to disable her wireless before inserting the card and re-enable it when she needs it.  (To dis/enable you just right-click on it in the Network Connections window and choose enable or disable from the context menu.)

I tried re-installing and upgrading all of the drivers, but no luck.  This is on a Dell Latitude D630.

Yeah, I can tell you what to do.  Call AT&T support... several times.  Spend hours on the phone with them.   Have them blame you or your operating system instead of their card or software.   Keep calling several more times till you talk to someone that speaks English AND knows what they're doing.  After a couple of weeks, you should be back online.  Works for me everytime.
