Go Phone for holidays in USA

Hello,

I will come in July for 6 weeks holidays in Arizona.

I would like to buy a go-phone prepaid like AT&T Z331.

But what choice can i do  (2£ daily plan ?), i would like that my friends in France

can call me and i need a data plan.

I have a friend in Arizona.

What is the better plan for me (for 6 weeks) ?

Can i buy by internet from France and delivery to my friend in Arizona (Tucson) ?

Regards,

Martin G.

Take a look at this: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-plans/pyg-cell-phone-plans.jsp

You will find most of the answers to your question on the web page.

As for buying Internet from France for your friend in Arizona, that's a difficult one. Are you talking about Internet on your friend's phone or ipad or tablet? You could have your friend buy Internet in Arizona with money you send to Arizona.

Re: Go Phone for holidays in USA

Thank you for your answer.

I looked at this web page (my english is average).

I need to receive calls from Europe and to phone in France.

I would like people in France who call me don't pay roaming fees.

I need a plan which can stop when i leave USA.

I would like to buy my Gophone and plan from France by internet,

delivery to my friend in Arizona.

He can send me my number before i leave France and give my phone number to my friends and family.

Thank you if you can help me.

As far as I know, you cannot buy a GoPhone online if you are outside of the US. I am just a customer who uses an AT&T cell phone. I am NOT employed by AT&T. If anyone here knows better, please say so.

What's a friend in Arizona for? Can you send a check to your friend in Arizona and have your friend buy a phone for you?  As far as I know, if you wanted to know your future phone number, you would have to have your friend activate the phone. The clock will start ticking toward the expiration date of the airtime card as soon as the phone is activated. There may be some charges billed to the phone, like 911 taxes (911 is the number to call for emergency in the US) even though you are not in the US yet. The 911 taxes are charged monthly.

You can choose to wait until you arrive in the US to buy a phone. You may be able to e-mail your number to your friends and relatives.

This question cannot be answered here. I have no knowledge of European tariffs. They have their own terms of service and they charge whatever they want, to recover the cost of their network.

You will need to call your French carrier and other European carriers to find out how they charge customers who make calls to the US.
