Convert from Family Plan to Prepaid Plan

Convert from Family Plan to Prepaid Plan

I'm currently with a Family Plan and out of contract.  Since I hardly use any of the monthly 550 minutes, they are all wasted.  I'd like to switch to the GoPhone 10c/min Plan with my existing number and save money.

What are the steps to do that?

  1. First, check if you have GoPhone coverage where you spend your time.
  2. Next, talk to customer service or browse the AT&T web to do some "homework" to find what prepaid plan you could possibly use. You could chat online with AT&T rep if you like. You will be informed so that you can make the right decision. You could also ask the rep what would be the best plan just to see how their answer compares with yours.
  3. Once you have made up your mind, there may be prep work to do, which depends on if you need new SIM cards.
  4. Contact AT&T customer service to make it happen.

That's all I can think of.

Just a simple step

Call customer care and they will give you all information about it.

That's right. Make sure to ask about coverage, which can be quite different depending on where you live.
