The Next Big Thing - The Samsung Note 9!

I recently changed my texting plan from Family Unlimited to the 500 a month for my phone, since the other user on my account is no longer using their phone.
After I switched plans, I can no longer recieve any messages, and when I send one, my phone says it has sent but it never makes it to its destination.
I called AT&T and they tried to help, but to no avail. I did recieve their test text, but still have the same problem.
Ive tried turning the phone off and on a few times, and still nothing.
What should I do now?
