Don't even bother to ask - probably never! Remember - do a full backup before proceeding, just in case. A full backup / restore should happen during the OS Installation, but better to be safe than sorry!
Find a legit version of OS 5 for your device - just released, version 184.108.40.2062 from Hutchison here:
Download and install the software, then rename or delete the file:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Vendor.xml"
Now, just run:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe
and you'll be able to install OS 5.
I'm running OS 220.127.116.111 now, and will probably update later today!

Thanks for the heads-up! I did download that version of OS 5, but having a hard time updating my actual BB. Do you do it through Desktop Manager? I did delete the Vendor file. Thanks for your help!
