Any overseas call will incur "long distance" or "roaming" charges.

If you use your BlackBerry to call the US, YOU will incur International Roaming charges.

If ANYONE calls YOUR BlackBerry when you're overseas, YOU will incur International Roaming charges.

If you call a US phone - cell or land line - from an overseas Land Line, the Land Line will incur Long Distance charges.

Buying a local SIM card only saves you from making calls to the local SIM Carrier's area.  You would still incur long distance charges if you called the US using the overseas SIM.

All call made and received by the phone in Guam will pay roaming charges.  There is no extra cost to the phone that remains in the US.

Thank You!
One more question.
I know its about $.50 to send a text to somebody while i am here, but is it free to receive them?
I have an unlimited text plan back in the US.

Incoming texts are handled the same as when you're in the US, so in your case your unlimited text plan will make them free.
