All of my .wav covnert to .amr and I cant play??
I will start with a little background, I am using the LG CU500

I have had a few files sent to me via text and wanted to add them as ringtone or ring ids.  The problem is my phone does not like to .amr format.  I can play the files all day long but cant add them to a ringtone or ID..  I even went as far as converting the file to a .wav and sent it back but each time my phone recieved it it says .amr.

    Please Help

I can't say for Windows Vista, but on XP Home, I can still use the Windows Sound Recorder to convert files between several formats, specifically from .wav to .mp3.  You can find it from Start - All Programs - Accessories - Entertainment - Sound Recorder.  It also lets you trim the clip on the front end or the back end so you can clip out just what you want from the file.
