$10 Samsung clamshell to Samsung Galaxy S2

Last year I purchased a $10 Samsung clamshell phone with a GoPhone plan. Now I have purchased an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S2. I pulled the GoPhone SIM card from the $10 unit and put it into the S2. However when the S2 comes up, it says that the SIM card has crashed (message not very helpful) From reading in this forum it seems there should be no problem moving the SIM card. Any ideas?

Thanks

Is the SIM card and account active with sufficient funds to support it?

I would call customer service to clarify. They should be able to help you.
