Do you have an option (not familiar with device) to hide/unhide your SSID?  If so, you might want to not hide it, or type the SSID manually on your computer (I prefer to hide my SSID so others aren't aware of it).  Assuming it's sold by AT&T (not brought over from another carrier) you can try calling customer service and they might be able to help.

What type of connection are you using?  Are you trying to connect your computer to your phone via a wifi hotspot? What are you trying to do and what do you expect to happen?

What do you mean by 'find'?

When you say "connect," do you mean via USB cable? If so, you can access your phone as if it's a flash drive through the file explorer.

If you want the Windows 8 metro app to share music and photos between your PC and phone, there's an app for that.

Windows may have installed it automatically when you connected the phone to the computer. Check for new apps in the app list (down arrow from the start screen).

This page on the Windowsphone.com website might also help. Scroll down to find other sync options and step-by-step instructions.
