Speakers for Lumia 830 are dead

Just used the speakerphone and watched videos and everything was fine. Now I get no sounds at all. If I hit the speakerphone it mutes the call. Try listening to YouTube and no sound at all unless I use headphones which make it really choppy cutting in and out. What can I do to fix it have volume on 30/30 and 10/10.

Hello @aprillee86,

I’m sorry you are having trouble with the speakers on your Lumia 830; I’d be happy to help!  I would like to point out that having the volume turned on all the way up is not recommended, keeping the volume down will reduce the risk of blowing the speakers.   There are two troubleshooting steps we can take to try and correct the issue:

  1. A soft reset

o   Press and hold the volume down buttons for 10-15 seconds (or until the phone vibrates).  Restart your phone when prompted.

  1. A hard reset

o   A hard reset will delete all of your phone’s data, so this should be a last resort.  Settings>About>Reset your phone

I hope this helps!
