Numbersynching getting both phone and watch to work together

I'm trying to get my galaxy watch and galaxy s9 plus to work in unison. I was able to get the numbersynching to work....after hours of talking to tech support. However, they are both working separately, when connected to mobile network. For instance,  when I make a call from the watch, shouldn't the call screen pop up on the phone.   Also, for some reason. My numbersynching keeps randomaly turning off without me doing anything....weird
