I recently attempted to set up my Apple Watch Series 3 to my iPhone XS max. Everything goes smoothly until I set up the cellular portion, and that is where I get the error message “EDS4014”. Spent time with agent online and they said it’s a new issue but that they don’t have info just yet.
Not the agent’s fault I know, but it is frustrating since I really need the cellular hooked up. Anyone know of a fix. The message below happens after restarts on both iPhone and Watch.

Jacob,
I have the same issue with my series 4 watch I just purchased. The chat line was of no help. I keep getting the same EDS4014 error message. Any help would be much appreciated.

on day 3 myself with ATT support for the same issue. The EDS4014 message seems to be my personal purgatory. Not sure what ive done to deserve this torture but alas, here i am. Apple Series 4, updated iphone plan, correct sim, everything functioning and updated yet still cant setup cellular. Probably have paired and unpaired, synched, reset and power cycled MULTIPLE times to no avail. Definitely 100% an issue on ATT side, not apple. So far, there hasnt been one technician who can actually fix this issue and after reading all these posts, im not alone. Cant help but wonder how many customers they are going to lose before they figure out whats going on as i cant see the number or apple watch users dwindling anytime soon.

gets better though, i was just informed by my most recent agent that i am only the 3rd case with this issue and that the EDS4014 error is new to them.... weird considering how many of you are posting the same issues dating back at least a year....

Well, after 5 days they have told me they cant do anything and that the devise must be damaged or faulty even though i have brought the watch to apple and they have said it is in 100% working order with no issues. Seems it will be cheaper to change carriers [after 20 years]

They have assured me their highest level of IT supervisor has looked into it for me and said that because the watch was previously owned and not from ATT it is unable to setup cellular service. Everything on the phone works perfectly and apple genius bar has told me there is nothing wrong with the device. The seller has been in constant communication with me and has also assured me the devise is not paired or even recognizable in her icloud or mobile any longer as she has upgraded to a series 5. pretty big bummer but verizon is offering a pretty attractive offer to pick up my business and promises there will be no transfer issues with setting up the watch. More importantly im not seeing any reported issues of this nature with other carriers, just ATT.

I’m having the same issue with an Apple Watch 5 and the iPhone 11 Pro Max, I can get it to connect every once in a while but it only stays connected for 10 or 15 minutes and then disconnects from number synch.
