Blacked out Sporting Events

We stream DirecTV Now on an Amazon FireStick. Last night, all of the NFL games were blacked out and we were unable to watch them. Is there a way to correct that? I will be cancelling our service soon if it is not something that can be changed.

Had the free NFL ticket from a promotion. I need to cancel it before they start charging.
