While Matthew the Community Specialist is correct when he says you cannot WATCH recordings on your phone, he is INCORRECT in stating that a reset of your DVR will erase your recordings.  That is not true and it's a shame that you are being misled.

You can do a SOFT reset of your DVR to correct many issues without ERASING your recordings.  A HARD reset will, in fact, erase recordings but a hard reset is used only as a last resort.

You can reset your DVR in a couple of different ways:  Hold down the oval button until it flashes.  That will do a soft reset.  Unplug the DVR, wait 15 secs. and plug it back in.  That will do a soft reset.  Or press the "Menu" button on your remote and go to Options and Restart Receiver.

Again, any of these methods WILL NOT erase your recordings.

Hi There @Jodster65,

Thank you so much for your question about watching your DVR shows on your iPhone.  We can help with this.

According to the information that we have and this link: What you can do with the U-Verse app, all that you can do is set-up and manage your recordings, but you are unable to play them back.  Resetting your DVR, will erase the recordings that you have.

You can however stream live broadcasts and shows and movies.

We understand that is not what you wanted to hear, but it is a limitation of the service that you have.

If you need anything else, please reach back out to us.
