The Simple Service Discovery Protocol (SSDP) discovery service: This service discovers Universal Plug and Play devices on your home network.

Digital Living Network Alliance or DLNA certified devices allow you to share content between devices around your house over your home Wi-Fi® network.

Set-top box (STB) or set-top unit (STU) is an information appliance device that generally contains a tuner and connects to a television set and an external source of signal, turning the source signal into content in a form that can then be displayed on the television screen or other display device.

I wish the U-Verse boxes were truly DLNA certified.  That would rock!
