markdz: No need for 3 separate posts.  Yes, most of us were shocked and disappointed by AT&T's decision.   Some, myself included feel that it is not a contract issue but an ideological difference and there is no place for that, IMO.  I would like to decide if I watch or not.

You can officially request the channel here.  Not sure if that does any good.  I am curious if any requested channel has ever been added based upon that link.

Since I have zero confidence in that link, one could send a private message to the escalation team at AT&T Customer Care,.  Some might feel that is extreme but it is one way of getting your point across.  I posted my concerns about U-Verse not carrying AJA on their Facebook page.

But it doesn't matter.  It doesn't matter if they are right wing, left wing, middle wing, up wing, down wing or broken wing,  The ball should be in the viewer's court to watch it or not.  I know most are tired of hearing me but my guess is that AT&T's has succumbed to the simple minded "Anti Middle East," :Anti 'fer'ner owned" faction.  Need I remind you that FOX News's Murdoch was a "fer'ner?"  He was born in Australia.

I have heard that AJ pulled the plug on several free ways of getting AJA, so I assumed that meant Roku.  My bad for assuming.  Smiley Tongue  I have heard that they scrambled their "Freeview" DBS signal, after they went live.  Must have been pressure from the 98% of providers who carry it. Smiley Very Happy

Re: No Al Jazeera

We don't need 50 home shopping channels either, but we got them. I say the more news the better and I will continue to watch them online.

Big difference is those shopping channels PAY to be placed in the line up.  Those 50 shopping channels keep the costs from rising more than they do.

Re: No Al Jazeera

It was listed on the future programming grid, and I carefully went through several days reading the show description and selecting several I wanted to see.

The day of the switch, I was alarmed to see the red recording light was not on during a newscast.  When I realised the entire channel listing was gone, I felt like the victim of a pickpocket.

I never checked to see if the grid actually showed AJA or still showed Current.  Long story short, something must have happened in the 11th hour preventing AT&T from carrying AJA.  Maybe the same negotiator that Hallmark used?  Somebody must have gotten their feelings hurt.

Are you, codycooper864, saying that there are trolls present here in "AT&T Community Forums?"

 Man Surprised

There are Trolls on this forum? No! I don't believe it.  Smiley Surprised

What cracks me up is that some of the trolls have their user name in green ...
