Is ATT Uverse going away?
I have been told by several Direct TV reps (with ATT) that Uverse is going away, but they don't know when. We currently have Uverse, with a fiber connection, and we love it. Can someone tell if and why I should move over to Direct TV (satellite) instead of staying with Uverse (fiber)?

You should not. If you like it, cling to U-verse TV until they pry it from your fingers.
There is no published date for U-verse TV to go away. The announced plan was for U-verse TV and DIRECTV to consolidate on a set of common equipment, and that is the last thing AT&T said about it.

The DirectTV reps will say anything to make a sale. Beware of what they say. I totally agree with JefferMC. At this time, publicly, there is no plan for AT&T to close up U-verse. What is going on behind close doors, no one on this forum can actually say.
