How do I watch Uverse TV online?

I would like to be able to watch my Uverse TV programming on my desktop computer. I've never tried it before (from uverse .com /live), but it doesn't seem to be possible anymore?  All channels appear to be "Off air."

We see this post is getting a lot of views.

In a nutshell, desktop viewing is no longer supported. You do have the option to use the U-verse app on smart devices like an iPad, iPhone or Samsung smart phone.

You can learn more about this on our Forums support page.

 Never mind ... I guess.

Apparently, I used the wrong search terms to look for an answer.  I have just now stumbled upon this post:

https://forums.att.com/t5/Watching-U-verse-TV/Can-no-longer-stream-Uverse-to-Laptop/m-p/5228728#M29493

However, it is not clear to me if *no one* can view their programming, or only Windows users?

It would really be helpful if information about this issue were posted in a highly visible place on uverse.com

Why don't you just make a desktop app?...or convert the iOS app for use on macOS (WWDC 2018)?

@CodeWrangler

Att had a working UWS app in Windows 10.

The technology is not the issue. Att has consciously decided to not make watching streaming for its UVERSE customers on laptops and desktops. macOS , Linux, and windows alike. It’s a business decision.

It's a bad business decision.  I for one am considering switching after 25 years with AT&T, and I'm sure there are others who won't complain, just leave.    I didn't even do much streaming, but the ability to view the guide and program the DVR was very important to me and the phone app is not an acceptable alternative -- it's too small and hard to read.

That is one of the reasons I left AT&T for Spectrum.  Spectrum has a app you can watch on TV, computer, or anywhere you have an internet connection.   Those who have Comcast also have an app as well as faster internet speed.  After 8 years with AT&T I decided that the rate goes up and service goes down.  That is about all you can do is leave.

That's what competition is all about. If you value uverse.com above all else, then voting with wallet is solution.

The total equation is more complex for some us than just streaming to desktop or laptop.

To gr8sho

I wanted to watch some of the 2018 Olympics live.  For example the opening ceremonies tomorrow morning.  But I am a senior citizen as they say.  I am old.  I don't have a smart phone or any other "device".  I have a desktop and a laptop.  And AT&T has decided I am not allowed to live stream the Olympics.  I can also no longer use the TV Guide to see what is on and/or chose the shows I want to record.  All this has been taken away.  But it was not part of the "business decision" to refund any of the monthly fees due to these lost services.

The easiest way is to use a browser and navigate to stream.nbcolympics.com

If your computers have Windows 10, there is an NBCSports app that will make this a little easier.

Your Uverse subscription will unlock the programming.  Use ATT as the name of the provider.

For sure these are exciting times to be able to use technology in this way.
