Channel Negotiations

I renewed my contract on December 15th 2017 with hesitation. The reason behind this was this fall my wife was going to need 2 channels that AT&T did not have. I let them know the other provider in the area (Spectrum) had these channels. The customer service representative said he expected the channels to be available in January 2018. It is now August and we are 3 weeks away from needing these channels. Besides this issue, Uverse has been great and I would hate to switch. I was wondering if there was an actual timeframe on getting these channels in my area. The 2 channels are WBBM- CBS Chicago and WFLD- Fox Chicago?

Do you get other Chicago channels on U-verse? WLS-ABC or WMAQ-NBC? Are you located within the Chicago area?
