NBC, WTHR, CBS - September Contract Negotiation

Why was NBC dropped from the channel lineup? This is a major network that I watch frequently. I am not happy about this change and don't remember receiving any notification of this change.

It will be settled with CBS 10TV decides to allow DirecTV to broadcast their signal again.  Realize that it's the local station ownership holding the cards here, not DirecTV, or any other service providers.  Local station owners continually demand more and more money to carry their "free" off-air signals, so companies like Dish, Comcast and DirecTV are constantly being threatened with dropped signals when contracts are renewed.  It's a crazy situation.  Congress and the FCC need to put a stop to it!  So be sure to lean on your local station ownership and tell them to let DirecTV provide their signal again!

Dear AT&T,
I became an AT&T customer when my old provider was having a feud with CBS. I have tv internet home phone and cell phone with you and pay around $400 per month for the past 10 years. If this I can not watch NBC I will find another provider that wants my business.

I live in Indianapolis IN and still no NBC.  The "fighting for you" page doesnt provide any updates and I have submitted a request for update there also.  Does anyone have any updates as to when the station will return?

Tired of having to spend more money to get TV. We will be canceling. We will not switch to have a dish on our house which friends say they are having the same issue. Such B S to pay this high amount each month and they keep raising their rates and now to block us?
Time to drop AT&T and protest!!! Might as well swap our cells too! We've had AT&T too long and they do not care anymore. Too many customers they grew too fast too big.

Do we have to switch to Cox Cable or or any other carrier to watch our favorite show.

I'm sorry, but this isn't good enough any more. If we're not going to have CBS in Columbus, OH anytime soon, you need to come right out and say so and then your customers can make alternative plans, be they antenna with TIVO, chromecast with the CBS App (and commercials) or switching providers.

I'm on your side of the dispute, but I'm not willing to go without CBS indefinitely so you can prove your point. Ultimately, I'm paying a lot of money to get DVR service that includes network programming and you are no longer providing that service.

I also don't see where you have any incentive to negotiate. You're getting your monthly charges without having to pay a dime for a retrans fee so you're coming out way ahead in this game. I can't switch cheaply because I'm under contract and Dispatch can hold out as long as necessary. Why should they care?  It's all gravy to them.

So. Please advise as to the current status of negotiations. If a settlement is imminent, we wait. If not, we make other plans. It's only fair to less your customers know.

I completely agree. This is unacceptable. It's like there is no end in sight. They need to discount our bill.
