"program can not be fast forward" message is always present

The warning message "Program Can Not be Fast Forwarded" any time a Guide, a Menu or a List function is selected. This message always pops up, regardless whether or not the program can be fast forwarded or not. Some flag is set somewhere and a power off does not reset it

Does anybody have this problem and know how to remove the warning message?

Re: "program can not be fast forward" message is always present

Hi There @Hotlnc,

We can help you with this.  Looks like the warning icon is stuck and will not go away.

A great place to start, is to refresh your DirecTV equipment.

Here are the steps involved:

  1. Go to Account overview and select My DIRECTV.
  2. Choose Manage my plan then Manage and learn about equipment.
  3. Select Refresh receiver.
  4. Wait 5 minutes. Your DIRECTV service may be interrupted during the refresh process.

You can do this online or you can use the MYATT app.

Let us know if you run into any problems.

Thanks Matt.

I pressed the RESET button next to the smart card and after a reboot, the
message went away.
