Unable to receive local channels

Unable to receive local channels

We are unable to receive any local channels.  When we tune to a local channel, there is nothing but a black screen.  How do we know if local channels are out in the entire area or if it's just a problem with our receiver?

Try to reset your receiver. There was a software update last night that must have caused some problems and when you reset there is a newer update. Mine is working fine after the reset and software update.

Thank you.  All of a sudden, it's now working.

Depends on the Receiver model number.  Usually it's a red button near the access card.
