Recording/playback problems

Recordings show as ON DEMAND not allowing me to forward or rewind my recorded programs.  What's the deal?  How to fix it?

Most networks limit your ability to REW or FF their OnDemand downloads. They want to force you to see their commercials. The "fix" is to record from the satellite channels instead of OnDemand channels.

How do you know which channels are ON DEMAND channels?

Any channel that starts with a 1 is the On Demand version.

.... and has four digits, such as 1002, etc.
