So the fight was definitely not broadcast in 4K, only HD. Why did directv mislead customers to thinking otherwise?

I don't know but I purchased it specifically because it was supposed to be 4k. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have bought it. I want a refund.
08-28-2017 10:18 AM
Janthony good luck getting that refund. I am disappointed that information about the biggest fight of all time was so miscommunicated. I should have known better than you believe AT&T support. Either a channel is in 4K or it isn't. It won't automatically switch to 4K. I am guessing there was no 4K broadcast by anyone. That's fine but I wish AT&T would just have said that up front or said we honestly don't know if there will be or not.

Our apologies for the miscommunication. It was our mistake to post that the fight would be broadcasted in 4K. Given this was a high-profile fight, we understand how disappointing it was not to see the option as posted in the article. It some instances, PPV is broadcasted is in 4K and we thought it would be the same for this fight. We know this apology is late, but, we wanted to address this and reach out to you all.
I was hoping to see it in 4K myself...

An apology isn't good enough. You used misleading information to create a sale. I want a refund. Simple as that. If I buy something from you and it is not as advertised, there is no sale. I sent a PM about this with my account number and have saved this chat. Since I have 3 4k receivers and a Genie 2, I clearly have 4k. I purchased this to watch it in 4k. Quality was poor 1080i. Streaming the fight looks better than 1080i since streams are in 1080p.

Hi, I'm DIRECTV/ATT and I charged you $100 by misleading you into buying something that was not what was promised. I apologize.
????? Huh ????? Apologize to my bill.
Or how about this - Hey ATT/DIRECTV - I'm selling Verizon and TMobile. I will sell them to you for only $1 Million dollars. Send me a check and after I deposit it I will apologize for misleading you but keep your money. Sound fair?

I appreciate you guys owning up to it. Apparently no one offered it in 4K anywhere in the world. (not even UFC streaming) I don't expect a refund but I do hope going forward your team will post facts instead of incorrect information.

Hi there @janthony6!
I am pleased to hear you are taking advantage of our 4K receivers. This technology is definitely an upgrade for your viewing pleasure, so I can understand why you are concerned with this past event and its display on your TV.
As we mentioned, the original poster on our forums site did list incorrect details regarding how the fight was to be broadcast. The fight was only shown in SD/HD with a non-refundable option as it was a Pay Per View feature. Upon further research, I was unable to find any network displaying the fight in 4K as well. Remember, if you have a 4K TV the feature should have been upscaled to display the fight better as well.
We will certainly take this feedback into consideration for future events streamed on Pay Per View. Thank you for taking the time to reach out!

The point is, I wouldn't have bought it if it were not for you advertising that it was in 4k. I don't care if no other company offered it in 4k. I care that I paid for something and didn't receive it. I paid for the fight in 4k and it wasn't. I want a refund. American Express will agree with me.

What about if you didnt order the junk, but your getting charged for it. [Edited to comply with Guidelines]
Then call DirecTV and ask them to remove the charge .... 1 800 531 5000
First, though, check your DVR's "History" menu to see if someone actually ordered it.

They say it was via phine, so i pulled my phone records nope it was not on there, so i have called dtv and they say they are not taking it off, so i went to speak to management. Oh hold for 1hr waiting to talk to someone then get disconnected.
