When trying to watch almost anything on Demand I get a message saying it’s having trouble connecting to the internet and then it goes back to regular tv. I already have the highest speed internet that Suddenlink has so that can’t be the issue. Help?

How good is your internet download speed with suddenlink? For your directv receivers to get uninterrupted internet speeds then you need 20 MBPS for one box. If you get like 50 mbps or more in your house then you should be fine. If you have a dual band internet (2.4gs and 5gs) then you need to connect to the one best for your directv box. If your box is right next to the router then you want to connect to the 5gs because that’s for short distance internet speeds. If your main directv box is in another room more than 10 feet away then use the 2.4gs. Yeah the speed is “slower” but it has a long range connection and loses connection a lot less.
The best process would be to reset your router, connect your directv to the internet, reset the directv box twice (one reset after another) to let the on demand redownload and within 24 hours of the double reset and it shouldn’t work bad if your internet speed is okay
Just replaced our HR44 reciever, hard drive failure, and was sent a HR54/700 reciever as a replacement. Since install on 11/19 "On Demand" is "not available" even though internet is setup/connected to both HR54 and Genie mini. Have tried everything from rebooting to resetting to no avail. Anyone have resolution suggestions before calling DirecTV customer support?
