I just got DTV yesterday, I cannot watch DirecTV on my computer, but I can on my iPhone. I am in my home network. using chrome I get to the watch live box & nothing happens when I click on the button. In MS edge it had me download flash, and says to install directv player. Downloaded & installed it. I again click on watch live and it says to download & install the player. I have cleared the cach & removed cookies. ??????? I did get it to work with IE, but can't access my DVR.. Experienced the SAME B...S... 3 years ago when I had DTV before. <FIX IT PERIOD> STOP ASKING WHAT BROWSER PEOPLE HAVE!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS ADVERTISED TO WORK WITH ANY BROWSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why not ask how Time Warner/Spectrum does it. I was even getting LOCAL Channels & On The Roku For FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

Google/Chrome (and Chromium-based browsers) don't like Flash because of security issues, so be careful with allowing Flash to run everywhere. FWIW, that fix does't work for everyone - we've tried on multiple machines, with multiple browsers on each and it still doesn't work. I'm not going to do AT&T's debugging for them, but I suspect it has something to do with the various security measures, ie, AV, firewalls, other security settings, etc. The bottom line is that AT&T cannot seem to do what many other providers of video content have managed for years: a fairly stable, fairly safe (with common sense) "across the board" WORKING viewing experience.

I was wondering if the flash permissions didn't work for the player box because it is a pop-up of directv.com?.

I just signed up for directv and I am at work and can't watch on my computer. I get a message that says this computer must be on the same wireless network as my receiver which is impossible.

I totally agree with you. I've tested other providers (uverse and xfinity) and their PC viewing features work seamlessly.
I'm having the same problem, but can't ever view any direct TV feeds on my PC for some reason. I get hung in the Adobe Flash Player blocking and loading CiscoVideoGuard loop and never get to watch anything on the PC using Chrome, IE, or Edge. I've turned off all virus and firewall features and it still doesn't work. This has been going on for months. Please develop a plug in that will work. I will be happy to test anything you come up with.

I am disappointed that the admin response was only towards one person and it was to go private. We all are having the same issue and are left in the dark. I have had direct tv for a very long time and shouldn't be treated like I have to go dig to find a solution.

Whoever marked this as solved is wrong. I have tried on 4 different browsers and enabled flash on all of them.

@ericwe, well, it might have solved the original poster's problem. Perhaps your issue has a different root cause.

I have spoken to someone at direct tv three different times regarding this issue and they always say end up apologizing, and tell me its a problem they cannot fix right now, that they are working to correct it and it may take a few weeks. They tell me someone will be in touch. Nobody has ever contacted me, and for almost a year now I have not been able to use direct tv on my computer. I will be leaving them this week as they are clearly unable to provide all of the services I am paying for.

I had the same call with DTV tech support today. They are zero help, as is the smart-but response by litzdog911. I decided to take the time to make this work on my machine today so here is what works for me. I have Windows 10 and Use Google Chrome as my default browser. I could only make this work with Internet Explorer 11. I have tried with Chrome, Edge, and Opera and none of those would ever work for me.
1. Uninstall Ad Block. Ad Block is a Windows Store app. If Chrome is your default browser like me, I highly recommend U Block Origin, which is available as as a Chrome extension. I will strictly use Internet Explorer to stream DTV so I am less concerned to have an ad blocker on it.
2. Add https://www.directv.com to the Internet Explorer trusted sites. This is done via the gear icon in the upper right hand corner if Internet Explorer, Then go to Internet Options. Select the security tab. Click on Trusted Sites. Click the Sites button. Enter https://www.directv.com and hit the add button.Close the security window.
3. Click the Privacy tab. This is next to the security tab mentioned in step 2. Click the Settings button. Add www.directv.com to the list of sites that are allowed to use pop-ups.
4. Do not put the Directv address in the compatibility mode section. It is not helpful.
5. Reload or re-open Internet Explorer and not you should be able to stream DTV on your machine.

I, also have been having all these problems and tried all these solutions to watch Directv on my pc. I just got off a long phone call to Directv trying to troubleshoot this and they had not solution—everything they suggested I had already done. And it was bad form for that AT&T admin to respond to only one person. I can stream lots of other sites but just not this one. We all need this to be solved and solved so we can watch on the browser of our choice without having to make lots of changes in our settings just for Directv: that is what we pay for, right?

I'm having the same problems. cannot watch any local channels on my computer outside of home, only channels 202 +.
i've searched thru this forum and still no resolution. all i see is the att cookie cutter response "We are sorry about the issues you are having with your services. We will be glad to help. why can't att share the solution (if there is any), instead of replying by private message.
