HR24-100

HR24-100

I have a HR24-100 receiver that is connected to a Samsung smart tv.The tv is hard wired to my internet.TV works great and all apps work great.Problem is I am not able to order movies on demand straight from the TV. The TV is connected to the HR24-100 via HDMI cable. Why can't I order movies on demand? Also when I order movies on demand from my laptop the HR24-100 shows no internet connection. Why?

Re: HR24-100

How is the HR24 connected to your home network for internet access?  It requires its own connect and has nothing to do with your TV's internet connection.

Press the DASH button on your DirecTV remote, does the pop up message indicates "Internet: Connected"?

Re: HR24-100

If the HR24 is your only DTV receiver then you can connect an Ethernet cable to it. you may need a Ethernet switch to add more ports from the Ethernet cable to the TV or move the TVs Ethernet cable to the HR24.  If the HR24 is not your only DTV receiver and you have the Whole Home system you need a DECA BB with power suppy.

Re: HR24-100

If you have the Whole Home system you need a DECA BB with power supply that connects to your router with an Ethernet cable then coax to you SWM splitter.

Re: HR24-100

Ok then you just need to connect an Ethernet cable to the HR24 then reset the HR24 with the red button behind the access card door.

The DECA BB is an adapter that puts the internet signal onto the coax for the HR24 and any other DTV receivers to use provide you have a SWM system that uses SWM splitters a power inserter and a SWM LNB.

Re: HR24-100

Yes, the CCK-W will work, but we try to advice folks to get a wired set up if at all possible
