Moving U-verse Equipment - Wiring Question

My wife wants to move the hardwired U-verse connected tv across the room.  We have wireless receivers upstairs, but we need to move the set up with the gateway, etc about 10 foot further than the existing wiring.  Can I just get some more CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable that's longer and do it myself?  Does it matter which CAT I use?  I know there are several out there and I can't tell which one is being used now.

Probably cat5e, it should state it right on the wiring, even the pre-made ethernet patch cables I have say cat5e on them here.

Get inexpensive good cat5e pre-made cables here:

Cat5e connector here:

Good luck 😉
