How do I install the AT&T TV NOW application?

  1. Get the App here or
  2. Launch the Play Store on your device.
  3. In the search box enter AT&T TV NOW and search.
  4. Select AT&T TV NOW from the search list.
  5. Choose the Install button and choose Accept.
  6. The application will download and install.
  7. Select Open to launch the application.

If you are using a rooted (Jailbroken) device, the app may not work. You must use the latest iOS for the device.

 

*How do I update the AT&T TV NOW application? 

  1. Launch the Play Store on your device.
  2. In the search box enter AT&T TV NOW and search.
  3. Select AT&T TV NOW from the search list.
  4. Choose the update button and choose Accept.
  5. The application will download and install the update.
  6. Select Open to launch the application. 

*Be sure to check for AT&T TV NOW updates often for enhancements and fixes for app.

 

How do I uninstall the AT&T TV NOW application? 

  1. Launch the Play Store on your device.
  2. In the search box enter AT&T TV NOW and search.
  3. Select AT&T TV NOW from the search list.
  4. Choose the uninstall button and select OK.
  5. The application will uninstall from your device.

 

Issues with AT&T TV NOW on your Android Device?

If you are running into issues playing AT&T TV NOW on your Android device, such as issues with the application starting or picture/sound issues, these steps can help repair your service.

 

Force close the AT&T TV NOW application

  1. Double tap the Square button.
  2. Move between your open application by swiping up or down.
  3. When you see the AT&T TV NOW application slide it to the right.
  4. Press the Circle button to return home
  5. Launch the AT&T TV NOW application again.

Check for AT&T TV NOW Updates

  1. Launch the Play Store on your device.
  2. In the search box enter AT&T TV NOW and search.
  3. Select AT&T TV NOW from the search list.
  4. Choose the update button and choose Accept.
  5. The application will download and install the update.
  6. Select Open to launch the application.

Check for Android Updates 

  1. Select your Google search bar and enter Settings.
  2. Select the settings application that appears in apps section.
  3. Scroll down and select the option About Phone.
  4. Select System Updates and the system will check for updates.
  5. If the system finds any available updates install them.
  6. Press the Circle button to return home
  7. Launch the AT&T TV NOW application again.

Power cycle your device 

  1. Press and hold the power button on your device.
  2. When the Power Off indicator appears select it.
  3. Wait 30 seconds and then press the power button on your device to turn it back on.
  4. Launch the AT&T TV NOW application.

Uninstall and reinstall the AT&T TV NOW application 

  1. Launch the Play Store on your device.
  2. In the search box enter AT&T TV NOW and search.
  3. Select AT&T TV NOW from the search list.
  4. Choose the uninstall button and select OK.
  5. The application will uninstall from your device.
  6. After the application uninstalls select install.
  7. The application will download and install.
  8. Select Open to launch the application.

Ensure your storage is not full

If your device memory is almost full it could cause streaming issues on your device. The following steps can check your devices memory:

  1. Select your Google search bar and enter Settings.
  2. Select the settings application that appears in apps section.
  3. Scroll down and select the option Storage.
  4. This will display how many items you have installed on your device.
  5. If your memory is almost full try uninstalling applications you no longer need.
  6. Launch the AT&T TV NOW application.

Verify you are connected to the Internet

Ensure your Android device is connecting to the Internet. To test this connection launch another application that utilizes the Internet on your device. If other applications do not connect there may be an issue with your device, mobile data or Internet connection if setup on a Wi-Fi network.

 

Disable your Wi-Fi on your device to determine if you are able to login using your wireless carrier. 

  1. Select your Google search bar and enter Settings.
  2. Select the settings application that appears in apps section.
  3. Choose the Wi-Fi option.
  4. Set the Wi-Fi off via the slider in the top of the menu.
  5. Test your connection to AT&T TV NOW again.

If other devices in your household are unable to connect to the Internet and your mobile device is able to access the application on your wireless mobile data, check with your Internet Service Provider for support.

 

Connect to a Wi-Fi Network 

  1. Select your Google search bar and enter Settings.
  2. Select the settings application that appears in apps section.
  3. Choose the Wi-Fi option.
  4. Ensure that Wi-Fi is set to On via the slider in the top of the menu.
  5. The top most Wi-Fi network in the list will say Connected if you are currently connected.
  6. If you are not connected or wish to connect to a new network, select the named network from the list available.
  7. If the network is password protected, enter the password and select Connect.
  8. If you are unable to login to the network check with the administrator to ensure you have the correct password.

Hi @LarryOB,

 

Make sure you have the latest Android OS on the device. Also, if it is rooted, you will need to go back to the original Android OS for the device.

This is the second time I've seen someone from Directvnow CARE tell someone to install "the latest iOS" to their Android device.  iOS is Apple's operating system for their iPhone, iPad, etc.  I don't think it's even possible to install that on an Android device.

Agree, only on Android phones. Not for Android boxes for tv.  Foolish!!!!!??!
