Blocking Robo Calls

I found this article today and set this up.  Works with U-voice and Cell service too and it's free!!  I can't vouch for it's effectiveness since I just set it up today.

Thought I would pass it on since I'm sure others have the same problem as I do.

Here's a link to NomoRobo since the original news article has become obsolete:

You don't need an app. Answer the call and ask them to take you off their list. It works almost 100% of the time. Also, after you hang up, add that number to your phone's reject list. You'll never hear from them again. That's been working just fine for me.

Unfortunately Nomorobo does not work with AT&T wireless, because At&t has not set up service with nomorobo.  This does work on my digital (verizon Fios) land line.

This thread is not in the AT&T Wireless forums.  It's in the U-verse Voice forums, so whether or it works on AT&T Wireless is immaterial.

Just established NOMOROBO with my ATT Uverse Phone.   Hope it stops all those daily nuisance calls.   Says to just be sure to allow two rings for good calls, as it will stop the second ring for robocalls.

Yes, business lines with Wave can be blocked. Proceed in the normal fashion and you will be told to call Wave Support, request "SIMRING" and provide number [edited for privacy – please do not post personal information]. They will do that and call your business number to complete the block.

No more alleged calls from Google, Hampton Inn, Hyatt vacations, etc!  Darn...
