"Press OK to watch TV" does not work

"Press OK to watch TV" does not work

New to Uverse this week. We press these buttons in sequence: AT&T, TV, Power, see a brief display in upper left (HDMI1/DVD), then a blue screen showing "Press OK to watch TV" - underneath that is a box of Uverse tips, none of which work in this mode. We've been managing to get TV after 10-15 minutes of frustrated pushing of buttons on our Samsung and AT&T remotes, but can't figure out what went "right" when we do.  It would be so great if only the "Press OK to watch TV" function actually worked!  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

I withdraw the question - just found the answer while scanning previous inquiries.  (hit AT&T button on top left of remote once, then hit OK).  Also we need to get used to waiting a few seconds for any possible effect to occur.  Thx anyway to those who viewed.
