Had new Uverse TV & Internet scheduled to be installed on 8-6-18. When the tech arrived, he was able to install the internet but said there is a DVR box shortage right now so he can't install those. I asked how long and he said about a week is the usual delay but from what I am seeing online, the wait is much longer than a week and it's been a week already. When you call customer service, they "don't know any timeframe". Who can I speak to so that I can get a real estimate on how long until I get a DVR box??? There is a big difference between a week or two and a month or more. Thanks!

We understand how inconvenient this may be.
Due to an incident at one of the facilities that stores our DVR receivers, we are experiencing a shortage. Shipments have already begun as of 7/31/18. At this time there is no definitive time frame for when everyone will received their DVR's.
However, you can stream your favorite shows via the Uverse App or you can also use your Uverse login credentials on network sits and their corresponding apps.

Definitely not a week..... I called to have cable and internet installed on 7-6 and the install was sup to take place on the 13th. No one showed up and called after the fact to say they were replacing the facilities near my house. They said the work should wrap up on the 20th of July. Got a text we were good to go to make another appt. So the tech was to come out July 28th. He came out but says I have bad news cannot install because we have a DVR shortage. He said don't quote him but it could take about a week for a DVR box to come. Here I sit August 23rd still with no install on DVR and no definite word on when a box will become available. Supposedly they will ship it straight to my house. There are people on other forums that have been waiting longer than me.
