Sony WiFi blueray player, how to connect to AT&T cable via WiFi

My mom bought a Sony Blue Ray player with WiFi for her bedroom. It has connected to the internet for Netflix, YouTube ect. How do I connect to her internet so she can watch her cable channels on the bedroom TV

If referring to Uverse IPTV channels, needs a Uverse receiver ($10 per month) to access the channels.

 

Sony and other devices are for streaming content such as descriped. Receivers are for Uverse account channels, non streamed.
