Remote don't work
Remote on one tv won't do anything except volume and on and off same remote works on other TV's but other remotes have same problem on the one tv think it might be the box what do you think

The uverse remote is not a true universal remote. It will control the basic operations, i.e., on/off, volume, and sometimes the input select on your tv to switch inputs. Anything else is luck. Always keep your tv remote nearby for the tv's additional functions.

But how can I change the channels on the box with my regular tv remote?

Your tv's remote cannot be used to access the functions of your uverse receiver. That's what the uverse remote is for. Keep your tv's remote nearby to do any other additional functions (other than on/off and volume and maybe input select) you may need for your tv.
