Do any of you know a remote code that I could use to control my LG NB3520A sound bar with my standard u-verse remote? Alternatively, do you have a recommendation for a (non-u-verse) universal remote that is compatible with u-verse?

If I understand this right, the sound bar CAN't be controlled by the AT&T remote?
No sound out of the thing, and that user manual for the system is a Janglish zero conprende nein, no spache de Hinglas $49.95 "-to english' some body's nephew bright idea.
No codes, very unhappy camper, and Bust Buys creates another so happy I could start screaming and not stop for a week.
Merry Ho HO YO yo-yo!
Sometimes I have trouble translating tech to yes/no, and feeling this stupid and ineffectual is NOT what I need for Xmas this year.

86hawkeye - I do not have personal experience with this remote. I suggest you read the reviews on Amazon. I see one that says it can do everything a U-verse remote can do & another that seemed to indicate that it was complicated to program the punch through volume. You probably have to try it to be sure it is for you.
It does appear way more flexible than the U-verse remote & has that critical learning capability - Pick the button and program it from the devices remote. I think the odds are in favor of you being satisfied.
OK. Thank you very much!

I was able to control the LG NB3530A soundbar with the older, silver AT&T remote.
Used code 4041. Read that 4025 might work as well.
Was then able to control all volume via the soundbar (with the U-verse remote 955 command), regardless of device mode.
The interesting question now is why can the 5 year old remote control the soundbar but the brand new, S10-S4 black remote can't?

86hawkeye - That is one of the mysteries of the universe. It has been noticed that there are differences between the two. It is not a customer friendly situation.
Maybe you could trade your black one for a silver one with someone. I believe people have found them at thrift stores such as Goodwill & The Salvation Army.
They have them on Amazon - It says used are available for $1.25 - http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=u-verse%20silver%20remo...
If you want to be sure not to run out 10 for $8.50 - http://www.amazon.com/AT-Multi-Finction-Universal-Standard-Controls/dp/B004TO687M/ref=sr_1_5?s=elect...
I might do that
I am using the only silver one I have to solve my problem for now.
