I just purchased a new television and I cannot get cable on this TV. The TV is mounted on the wall, the cable box is on, the router and modem are connected. I can access wifi from my phone when mobile data is off. The TV is connected to wifi, I've verified by watching YouTube. How do I resolve this? I have powered every thing down and started turning things on one at a time, modem...router...cable set top box. I'm confused, please help.
No, you don't have to notify AT&T when you acquire new devices.
