I have the silver remote, no DVR. I have a stereo set up on the AUX button for sound. So to watch TV, I need to hit POWER, AUX, POWER, ATT and OK. Is there a way to turn on the ATT box, the TV and the stereo all at once?

I suggest you get a Harmony remote. It is not only universal, but you can program one button to turn on all of your devices with one push.

Thanks for you help, but I have a feeling this is just not going to work for me. I can get the TV and ATT to come on at once, but not the surround. And turning it on this way means that the "info" button will not work until you go back and press ATT and OK. Which means I'm still pressing multi buttons to turn things on and off. Maybe I should just get a Harmony......Or maybe I'll just live with it - I guess it's only pressing buttons.

There is another way to achieve this if your equipment is connected via HDMI and is capable of CEC (Consumer Electronics Control). If you configure your AV receiver and TV properly, turning one on or off will also turn the other on or off. This way, programming the ATT remote to turn on the TV will cause the TV to turn on the AV receiver as well. Check this article out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI.

I have been using Logitech's Harmony remotes for about 5 years. The best thing I did. Push one button and everything is turned on. Prices range from $29.99 to $599.99. You should try one. Good Luck!

You can purchase a Harmony 650 for about $79.00 if you have the time to search online and local stores.
