Returning a Uverse tv receiver because I don't need anymore

Need to return a UVERSE TV receiver box that we no longer need as we are reducing number of TV's in home.    DO I NEED to talk with an agent first to get approval before mailing back?  How do I do that?  I can take the receiver to a UPS store but I want to talk with someone about this before returning.  Help please.

You MUST CALL customer service before returning any equipment.  You will be GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS on where to take it.  You should receive a FOLLOW UP EMAIL.  Above all else, KEEP YOUR RECEIPT.

Your customer service put me on hold and never came back. I have two U-verse receivers that need to be returned.
