How many receivers can be on one access point

I have 4 wireless receivers in my house and I’m adding a new one but it says that I can’t connect. I’ve tried restarting the router but it just won’t connect. It keeps failing even thought the access point is right above it. Do I have to set up another access point. It 4 it’s maximum?

Hello @Gbaby883

We understand you're having an issue getting your wireless receiver connected to access point.

We can help with that.

Just to be clear, are all the receivers U-verse?

Please, let us know so we can further assist you with this issue.

Thank you for that clarification, @Gbaby883.

AT&T U-verse IPTV service does allow up to 5 wireless receivers within the same household, so let us work together try to determine why you seem to be having issues.

Have you tried disconnecting your current receivers from your gateway, and added each one back one at a time? Is there only one specific receiver that is having issues connecting, no matter what order you reconnect them in, or is it always the 5th receiver that cannot connect?

We look forward to your response!
