Has the Cisco ISB7500 incurred any of the surround drop out issues of the IPN3240 box.
I have severe surround drop out issues with my Scientific Atlanta IPN3240 DVR. AT&T finally agreed to replace it, but not with the VIP2250. Instead, they are sending the newer Cisco ISB7500. Is this a 2nd generation DVR or am I going to suffer the same drop out issues I now experience???

The DVR they are sending is the newest available. The Motorola VIP2250 is the "middle" DVR now, with 250GB of storage, whereas the 7500 is 500GB.
As to the sound drop-outs, I'll let someone else speak to that. There are conflicting reports and as I don't have that equipment, I can't personally say anything regarding it.

Mine was supposed to be here yesterday, but didn't show up...I will let evryone know how it does after it is installed and runs for a while.
