Dvr recordings gone

Recently had problems with old receiver in living room, no problems with one in bedroom. At&t customer service said it was defective and sent a new one next day. Watches tv on bedroom receiver, but dvr stuff wasn't showing up at all. Set up of new one was easy, but every single recording that was stored is now gone from both receivers dvr. How can I get these back?

Recordings are stored on the hard drive of the DVR.  DVR gone = recordings gone.

The schedule you may have created to record programs is still intact and you won't have to re-create that....but the recordings are gone.  Sorry.

Hello, we have had two episodes in the last 6 months of our dvr losing connection to the network (getting an x1) error. The first time we called customer service who fixed the connection issue but the recordings were somehow erased. we were given a new dvr. Now recently it has happened again with the same problem. When the reps fixed it, the recordings were all gone. The rep was very puzzled and was going to call us back but never did. Have only had poor customer service trying to get an answer to rectify this so it does not happen again. any help is appreciated. thank you.
