For the "Missing Registration Token", follow these steps:

  • Close all browser windows
  • Open browser window and go to http://www.hbogo.com/
  • Click “Sign In” button on top right corner of screen
  • Choose “AT&T U-verse TV” from the dropdown list and click Continue
  • Log into the HBO GO service using the AT&T U-verse primary account ID & password
  • Create a HBO GO ID and to agree to the Terms of Use for HBO Go
  • Once the process completes, click Log Out/Log Off
  • Go to http://uverseonline.att.net
  • Log in using primary account ID and password
  • Access HBO and Cinemax content to verify it now works correctly

Means that the box was not able to communicate with the OnDemand servers.

I get the same message when I try to watch HBO on Uverse Online. This only occurs on HBO, all other stations work correctly.

I have tried it on Windows 8 with IE 10, Windows 7 with IE9, and Windows Xp with IE8. all are up to date with patches. I have tried it at home, in a public place and at work.

I spent 3 hours on the phone with tech support and they gave up. They said they would find the answer and let me know... That was about a month ago. Nothing yet.

Judging by the above response, I guess when you ask questions here, you must be specific. So here is my question:

How do you fix this so that it will work?

This seems to be a problem with HBO's verification scheme.  I've seen hints that it also occurs on other providers.

It could be any of a number of things, including:

1) You're blocking cookies

2) Your firewall (PC based or private router) is blocking something

3) Your account isn't set up right

4) Your browser cache needs flushing

5) Temporary delivery problems

thank you! Smiley LOL that fixed it.

i don't understand why AT&T tech support (both here and on the phone) did not know this.

A lot of times, the techs do not know, or they get reprimanded for thinking out of the box and not following script.

I just tried the log in to HBO GO thing, and the site says "It appears that your AT&T U-verse subscription does not include HBO. HBO GO is available free to AT&T U-verse customers who subscribe to HBO."

I have an HBO subscription and just watched game of thrones on Uverse Online yesterday. Now Uverse Online is giving me that token error.

I even clicked the down arrow at the top right of U-verse online, and HBO has a blue check mark by it...
